PHP Developer (Symfony and/or Laravel)

Location: 100% Remote Working from anywhere in the United Kingdom 

*Option to work hybrid (mix of remote and office-based work in Manchester at your convenience)

Salary Range: £30,000 to £45,000

Client: They are a revolutionary Internet Software company in the heart of Manchester with thousands of customers and millions of end users around the world. With an established team nothing short of awesome and a prolific CEO steering the ship, they now require a talented PHP Developer skilled in PHP and Symfony and/or Laravel to join their close-knit creative/technical team. 

Role: The PHP Developer experienced in Symfony and/or Laravel will work on a variety of projects, including creating new tools, working on systems used for day-to-day management, or supporting tools such as the customer facing mobile app builder to name a few. The PHP Developer experienced in Symfony and/or Laravel will work in a Scrum environment to build new user facing features that will be used daily by thousands of users, and develop reliable, efficient, and scalable cloud-based solutions. The PHP Developer experienced in Symfony and/or Laravel will have the chance to use technologies like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, NGINX, RabbitMQ and Linux. The PHP Developer experienced in Symfony and/or Laravel will collaborate across all stages; design development, and implementation of web apps. 

The ideal PHP Developer:

• At least 3 years or more in commercial PHP development experience
• Strong in PHP 
• Strong in Symfony and/or Laravel
• Experience with system administration e.g. Linux, Ansible, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes
• Good knowledge of various storage technologies e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
• Background working with TDD, CI, and Version Control
• Passion for new web technologies, server platforms, and cloud computing
