A welcoming and supportive school in Halifax, HX3 is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with additional needs and play a key role in helping them achieve both inside and outside the classroom.

What you'll be doing
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
- Supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs
- Helping pupils engage with lessons and classroom activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social interactions
- Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing throughout the school day
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to provide consistent support
What we're looking for
- Experience working with children or young people, either in schools, care settings, youth work, sports coaching, or similar environments
- A patient, positive, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous SEN or SEND experience
- Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs
- Behaviour support experience
- Training in safeguarding, de-escalation, or trauma-informed approaches
