Secondary Teacher
If you’re a subject specialist who enjoys keeping things fresh, an experienced teacher thinking about a return to the classroom, or simply looking for a better balance between work and life, supply teaching could be exactly what you need.
We’re working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Shropshire where community genuinely matters. Staff know their students well, relationships are strong, and high expectations are built on a belief that every young person can achieve great things.
Students benefit from a broad and engaging curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. Alongside strong foundations in English, Maths, Science and PE, there’s a real commitment to language learning. French begins in Year 7, with German and Spanish introduced from Year 8, giving students the chance to broaden their horizons from the start.
Learning here goes far beyond the classroom walls. Drama productions, sporting opportunities, music programmes and educational trips are a big part of school life. Enrichment isn't something squeezed into the timetable, it’s woven into everyday experiences, helping students build confidence, curiosity and new skills.
Support for students is another real strength. A dedicated pastoral team works closely with teachers and the SEN department to ensure every young person feels safe, supported and ready to succeed. As part of a wider trust, the school also has strong links with local primary schools, secondary schools and post-16 providers, helping students navigate their next steps with confidence. Progression into further education is consistently strong.
You bring the classroom expertise, we'll handle the rest.
Whether you're after full-time supply, a few days each week, or occasional work that fits around your commitments, we'll help build something that works for you. The lessons are planned, the schools are ready, and you'll always have support when you need it. That means more time doing what you do best, teaching, inspiring and actually enjoying the school day.
What we're looking for:
• UK QTS and recent secondary teaching experience
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for your specialism
• Confident and consistent behaviour management skills
• Flexibility, resilience and the ability to adapt quickly
• Someone who wants every day to be a positive experience for both themselves and their students
What you'll get:
• Competitive weekly PAYE pay, with no umbrella company deductions
• Flexible opportunities that fit around your lifestyle
• Access to a wide network of local secondary schools
• A dedicated consultant who keeps things straightforward and supports you throughout
• FREE access to our CPD Academy to keep your skills sharp and your confidence high
