An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Manager to join an exceptional  children's home service based in the area Aston, Birmingham. As a Deputy Manager you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.

The Deputy Manager will ensure young people receive excellent levels of emotional and physical care, within a home that offers a safe, nurturing and comfortable environment with a staff team that is supportive, and enabling, providing opportunities and experiences to instil positive values and reaffirm the importance of children enjoying a childhood

 

As a Deputy Manager your day to day duties include:

·         Attending and contributing to child care planning and review meetings as appropriate

·         Involvement in the recruitment and retention of staff

·         Assist the manager in developing a management style which balances the need to exercise control and give direction with the need to offer staff the opportunity to contribute to decision making

·         Ensuring that all new staff receive a proper induction to the Home in line with company policy

·         Ensuring that each member of staff has a supervision contract and receives supervision in line with National Minimum Standards

·         Attend senior staff and team meetings to facilitate communication and provide opportunities for consultation and staff development

·         Reporting and assisting the manager in resolving issues of staff motivation and morale

·         Promoting personal and professional development through the appropriate delegation of duties and responsibilities

·         Ensure that each young person has the required documentation that it is current, relevant and is updated as necessary

 

An ideal Deputy Manager must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:

·         A relevant Level 3 Diploma and the willingness to study for the Level 5 Diploma are essential to the role

·         Previous supervisory experience in working with young people with challenging behaviour from various backgrounds

·         Able to show a can-do attitude always

 

The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary of £27,405 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role for 39 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
