

Domestic Abuse Practitioner
Our Client is One of UK's leading Healthcare Providers and they are currently seeking for a motivated Domestic Abuse Practitioner. You will be working in a highly reputed hospital service within the Basildon area.
As this is a newly created position, it is a fantastic opportunity for you to make the role your own and open up avenues for external partnerships, whilst gaining exposure to the safeguarding processes and procedures. Your skills and knowledge of Domestic Abuse will inspire families to make positive lifestyle changes and provide a role model and advocate to families experiencing domestic abuse.
As Domestic Abuse Practitioner your day to day duties include:
· You will be based at Phoenix House in Basildon and be expected to visit families in Brentwood, Basildon, Castle Point and Rochford
· Reporting to the Deputy Quadrant Manager
· You will be utilising your specialist skills and experience to support families
· Whilst partnering with refuge and temporary accommodation units in order to develop new ideas and ways of working.
· Working with the safeguarding team to co-deliver and develop Domestic Abuse training
· Providing one to one or group support to families with children under 5
· Contributing to child protection reports
· Undertaking risk assessments
· Safety planning with victims
An ideal Domestic Abuse Practitioner must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
· Degree/Diploma or accredited qualification in preventing and tackling domestic abuse
· Experience in working with vulnerable children and victims of domestic abuse which include domestic abuse strategy
