Our Client is One of UK's leading Healthcare Providers and they are currently seeking for a motivated Senior Nurse to join a reputable Nursing Home located in Birmingham.

This special nursing home is well-equipped to provide high-quality family-led care. At the Care Home, the staff specialise in providing individualised residential and nursing care that supports residents with their personal needs.

 

As a Senior Nurse your day to day duties include:  

·         To lead the care team to ensure high standards of care are provided to the service users.

·         You will ensure that the residents’ medical, physical and emotional requirements are met.

·         Mentoring and motivating colleagues to champion residents’ safety and dignity will be part of your role.

·         As well as helping to maintain accurate records, you will also undertake ongoing training of the new staff.

·         You will act as a person in charge, standing in for the Manager where required where your duties will be to: lead, motivate and mentor the care team to ensure the smooth running of the home;

·         Distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisations, tube feeding and management of medical conditions

·         Liaise with health and social care professionals for the improvement of the home and the care of the residents

·         Promoting the service users independence, choice and dignity by delivering the best standard of care.

 

An ideal Senior Nurse must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:

·         Provide both residential and nursing care to older people with nursing

·         Experience with dementia would suit.

·         Able to show empathy and warmth

·         A bubbly and outgoing personality

·         Able to write care plans, wound care, administering medication, attending MDT meetings and other nursing skills

·         Assist in assessments

·         Delegate duties to junior staff

 

The successful Senior Nurse will be paid a competitive salary up to £18.50 per hour. This exciting position is a Full Time role for 37.5 hours a week on Day Shifts only. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
