Fantastic job opening for Children’s Services Lead to work in prestige service which provides a range of quality care and support services for children and young people (aged 0-18 years) and adults (ages 18+) with disabilities and/or life threatening conditions. As children service lead you will be expected to manage the Children’s Domiciliary Care Service and Out of School Club.

Position: Children’s Services Lead        Reports to: CEO&F&PM (interim)

Location: Smethwick

Salary: £19,000-£22,000 per annum

Hours of work: 30 hours per week Monday to Friday – Negotiable 

Generic Responsibilities

·         Writing assessments

·         Adheres fully to the companies Quality Management System/SOPs & Employee

handbook.

·         Adheres fully to the statutory safeguarding policies to ensure the safeguarding of

vulnerable children, young people and adults

·         Answers telephones, meets and greets visitors and contractors as appropriate

·         Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines

·         Attends and participates in internal meetings as appropriate

·         Communicates and coordinates with internal departments as appropriate

·         Has responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of self and others and to comply at all times with the requirements of the Health and Safety regulations.

·         Participates in Audits as appropriate 

 

Requirements

 

·         A NVQ Level 4(level 5 is desirable) in Child Care, and Management (or equivalent)

·         Minimum of 3 years work experience  in a Health and Social Care/Child Care environment

·         2 years experience of managing and delivering care packages

·         A good standard of English and Maths

·         Excellent  communication skills

·         Ability to deal with complex issues as they arise

·         Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities and their families

·         Would be advantage if the candidate can communicate in at least one of the main South Asian languages
