Looking for rewarding work that fits neatly around term time? We’re supporting a local playscheme in the B10 area of Birmingham and are looking for a Level 3 qualified Play Worker or Support Worker to support our half-term holiday provision.
You’ll be working with children aged 5 to 13, with the majority being primary school age, helping to create fun, structured days where children feel safe, included, and excited to take part.
What you’ll be doing:

Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities for children
-
Supporting children in a structured play environment
-
Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive space for all ages and abilities

Managing and supporting a small team of four volunteers
-
Encouraging participation, teamwork, and positive behaviour
-
Making sure safeguarding and health and safety standards are always followed
What we’re looking for:

A Level 3 qualification in Playwork, Childcare, or Support Work

Experience working with children, particularly primary-aged children
-
Confidence leading activities and supporting volunteers
-
A calm, organised approach with lots of energy and enthusiasm

A genuine passion for helping children play, learn, and thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
