Are you an experienced Sociology teacher who loves bringing big ideas to life in the classroom? Confident teaching the specification right through to A-Level and keen to shape a subject from the ground up? This could be your next brilliant move.

We’re working with a forward-thinking 11–18 secondary school in Bristol looking for a full-time Sociology specialist to join them with an immediate start. This is a role for someone ready to take ownership, lead curriculum development and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys.

The Role

  • Teach Sociology across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, including A-Level.

  • Take the lead on writing and developing the Sociology syllabus, ensuring it’s ambitious, well-sequenced and engaging.

  • Deliver lessons that spark curiosity, encourage debate and help students make sense of the world around them.

  • Work closely with a supportive team who value collaboration, high expectations and consistency.

  • Play an active part in a school culture built on strong relationships, respect and aspiration.

About You

  • A qualified teacher with proven experience teaching Sociology to A-Level.

  • Confident with exam specifications and assessment requirements.

  • Excited by curriculum design and happy to take on subject leadership responsibility.

  • Passionate about inclusive, knowledge-rich teaching that supports excellent outcomes for all students.
