The Role
They are seeking a confident, motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor / HLTA to join the team. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting teaching and learning across the school and providing high-quality cover during teacher absence.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver planned learning activities in the absence of the class teacher

Support pupils’ learning in whole-class, group and one-to-one settings
-
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
-
Assist with planning, preparation and assessment under the guidance of teaching staff
-
Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusion and engagement
-
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and senior leaders
-
Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
-
HLTA status or relevant experience as a Cover Supervisor (essential)
-
Experience working within a primary school setting
-
Strong classroom management skills
-
A positive, flexible and proactive approach
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
