RGN Unit Manager wanted

One of the Leading Healthcare Providers is currently seeking a Registered Nurse, Unit Manager to join one of their pristine Care Homes which is based in Cumbria.

The purpose-built home specialises in providing general or specialist dementia nursing care for older people. They offer a supportive environment with individualised bedrooms and homely lounge areas.

As a Unit Manager you will be joining the multi-disciplinary team where you will build your own personal development as well as the services.

Your main duties will be:

• Ensuring the highest possible standards of care is given - continually assess residents' needs and wishes, develop the service to enhance their quality of life.
• Champion independence and personal choice; develop, review and update care plans to meet the clients changing physical, social and psychological needs.
• Oversee all aspects of medicine management – ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered to our clients.
• Set in place rigorous monitoring and recording practice; document efficiently, and thoroughly all matters relating to our residents and employees.
• Proactively monitor all standards of care; undertake audits and implement corrective action where appropriate.
• To assist with all people management duties, including but not exclusively; recruitment, training and career development, performance management and effective delegation of duties.

For this role you must have experience within older people care within a senior level, with an excellent clinical track record. You must be a qualified Registered General Nurse with a current NMC registration with excellent organisational and leadership skills. It is essential for you to have effective communicational skills with a flexible and professional attitude towards your work.
