

Deputy Manager
An amazing job has arisen for a Deputy Manager to work with one of the UK's leading healthcare providers. As a deputy manager you will be working in a highly reputable service within the Carlisle area.
This special care home has a large capacity care home that provides homely surroundings for the practice of skilled care, from a team of qualified professionals who support the privacy and dignity of all residents while delivering personalised services. While being an ideal environment for older people with care needs, the home also specialises in helping those diagnosed with dementia.
As a Deputy Manager your day to day duties include
· Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors.
· Applying relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicates requirements to the wider team.
· Ensuring that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and those statutory requirements are met.
· Respecting and applying the requirements of equality and diversity, promoting and role modelling these across the team.
· Identifying deficits in skill mix and safe staffing levels and acts to address these.
· Supervising a defined group of team members and contributes to their overall CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process recognising the skills required across the team. This will also include addressing any performance issues that are below the expected standard.
· Acting as a role model to promote a culture of learning development, inquiry and a team vision.
· Implementing, monitoring and evaluating therapeutic interventions within an overall care programme
Enabling people with mental health and or learning disability needs to develop coping strategies.
· Actively supports and contributes to effective Multi Disciplinary Working
· Engages in collaborative problem solving, supporting and encouraging clients to take ownership of issues, identify problems and to develop solutions to them based on their own needs and preferences.
· Contributes to the process of collaboratively assessing and acting on risks of harm, danger and abuse.

· You should have good Dementia care experience
· Able to write and audit care plans

The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary of £15.92 and the annual salary for this full time position of £27,318.72.This exciting position is for 33 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:

You must be qualified as a Nurse, either RGN, RMN OR RNLD
