An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Charge Nurse  to join an exceptional care home. As a Nurse you will be working for a company which is rated highly and has an excellent reputation in the Daventry area.

 

This special care centre is a purpose built centre providing 68 individual ensuite rooms to meet the specialist requirements of those affected by neurological conditions.

 

As a Charge Nurse your day to day duties include:

·         Have responsibility for the clinical care of all residents in the absence of the Senior Nurse Manager.

·         Participate as a member of the nursing team in the assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans

·         Provide ongoing monitoring, support and assessment of residents’ physical and physiological needs

·         Maintain safe custody, accurate administration and recording of drugs at all times

·         Be aware of the effected of prescribed medication, advising residents and liaising and/or informing other health professionals where required.

·         Maintain concise records and provide reports as necessary for each resident’s care review.

·         Attend daily/weekly meetings

·         Be able to identified and evaluate areas for potential service improvement sharing and developing practice

·         Ensure clear communication with all other company departments and staff

·         Act as a professional role model, clinical leader, a resource for staff, and support guide and supervise staff as required

 

An ideal Charge Nurse must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:

·         Experience in a supervisory role

·         The ability to assess and teach junior staff

·         A proven ability to co-ordinate care, prioritise tasks and manage Health & Safety issues

·         The drive to learn and develop

·         A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice

·         A flexible, positive, team-orientated approach

·         Mentorship Qualification (preferred)

·         The ability to lead and motivate others.

·         Must be flexible, enthusiastic, self motivated and have the ability to supervise clinical teams
