One of our client  is recruiting for a service manager for a service based in Dudley,  The service provides care for residents with learning disabilities and with autism or Asperger's

Previous experience in managing a care service and leading a staff team is essential for this role.

You will work together with their team to ensure that the physical, social, psychological and emotional needs of our service users are met.

The successful manger will be offered an excellent salary of £27,000 per annum plus other benefits.

The company is looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager : 

  • To utilise authentic leadership, role modelling and inspirational skills to motivate the team to deliver excellent quality of care
  • To become the person in charge responsible for the day-to-day running of the Service with 24 hour responsibility for the care of the Service Users.
  • To manage the effective use of resources, including the financial performance of the Service, and maintain high levels of occupancy.
  • To provide improvement, independence and choice for Service Users.
  • To comply with all regulatory and legislative requirements at all times and in particular the CQC and CSSIW for the Registration

Leadership

  • To be a good role model for all employees, being approachable and providing a regular presence and visibility with all levels of employees as well as being consistent in all actions and decisions.
  • To set and maintain clear standards of care within the Service in line with Company healthcare’s Vision “To provide the quality of care we would want for our loved ones”, policies and procedures.

 

General Management

  • To understand the legal requirements of the prevailing care and other relevant legislation and ensure the Service complies.
  • To personally have a full understanding and working knowledge of all Company healthcare policies and procedures and ensure that all these policies are applied at all times.
  • To manage effectively the Service’s budgets and deliver the Key Performance Indicators set for the Service.

 

Practice Expectations

  • To maintain own professional competence and ensure other team members do so.
  • To ensure that all Service Users have an up-to-date care plan which is reviewed regularly and which actively adopts the full range of Person Centred planning and writing.
  • To regularly monitor the quality of care delivery, ensuring that the physical, social, psychological and emotional needs of Service Users are recognised, assessed and met.
  • To ensure that there is a regular programme of activities, which are arranged in line with the Service Users’ needs, wishes and preferences.

Relationships

  • To establish and maintain good relationships with relatives and friends of Service Users, employees, referring agencies, the local community and any other parties with whom Company healthcare has dealings.
  • To report/make a statutory notification within 24 hours, following your Regulator’s latest guidance, any incidents or occurrences defined in the regulations (pertinent to your service locality) as reportable; and ensure Company healthcare’s internal incident/notifications procedures are followed.

 

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered you must have experience working with Adults with learning disability  in a supported living environment and hold an NVQ level 4 or QCF Level 5 qualification .
