Deputy Care Home Manager –RN

A great opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Qualified, Deputy Manager to join a pristine Care Home located within Glasgow.

The large bedded home is situated within a quiet area with pleasant views and landscaped gardens. They provide various levels of personalised nursing care such as respite and physiotherapy to elderly that may have dementia.

As the Deputy Manager of the home you will have the responsibility for assisting in the management of a business and team. You will be ensuring the service operates effectively and the best quality care is delivered.

Your main duties will be:

·         Continually assessing the resident’s needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life

·         Deputise in the overall management of the home where required

·         Communicate professionally and warmly with visitors which will include family, friends and other external stakeholders

·         Manage the implementation of company policies and regulatory requirements

·         Maintain clinical excellence by ensuring legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines are followed

·         Ensuring the home operates within budget through effective use of resources and identify areas to improve

·         Become a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of the 24 hour business

·         Play an dynamic part in the recruitment, assessment and supervision of the team

·         Supporting the manager in disciplinary proceeding where required

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Registered Nurse with a current NMC Pin and have experience within a senior position.
