 Outstanding job opening for RMN OR RNLD Ward Manager to work with one of the UK’s leading providers of independent specialist secure and step-down care across the UK.

As a Ward Manager you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team that includes a range of professionals. You will be central to providing high quality care.

 Ward Manager role involves:

 

Providing a high profile, visible clinical leadership to the ward nursing team.

 

To promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors. To ensure that standards of patient care are maintained at all times within the parameters of operational policies and governing legislation.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Decision Making Authority

 

·        Overall operational responsibility for Ward Budget Management

·        Shift/resource management in capacity of Senior Nurse on call

·        Effective strategic resource management

 

Key Performance Indicators

 

·        Support the implementation of local Clinical Governance Strategy

·        Clear application of clinical experience in delivery of patient centred   care

·        Satisfactory completion of objectives as agreed at appraisal and monthly supervision.

·        Satisfactory fulfilment of core competencies.

·        Demonstrates clear application of continuing professional development portfolio.

·        Actively contributes to the Nursing Service Agreement, departmental Risk Matrix and action plan, monitoring their implementation

·        Satisfactory completion of designated annual mandatory training.

·        To participate and take on active lead in organisational clinical and nursing audit programmes.

 Leadership

 ·        Provide strong and robust leadership in the clinical environment using the core skills of facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, teaching and delegation.

·        Develop a coaching culture within the clinical environment.

·        Demonstrate and model professional behaviours at all times.
