Protocol Education is working with a welcoming Primary School in Gateshead to recruit a KS2 Teacher for a long-term role. This is a school where children are encouraged to think deeply, challenge themselves and feel proud of who they are, all within a calm, inclusive environment where relationships come first.

Key responsibilities:

• Teaching a KS2 class with a clear, consistent and supportive approach

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that stretch thinking and spark curiosity

• Creating a positive classroom culture where pupils feel safe, respected and motivated

• Supporting pupils to develop independence, resilience and responsibility for their learning

• Promoting positive behaviour rooted in fairness, respect and kindness

• Working closely with colleagues to contribute to a strong, collaborative school community

What we’re looking for:

• UK QTS (or equivalent)

• Experience teaching in KS2

• A calm, reflective and confident teaching style

• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and child development

• A team-focused mindset and clear communication skills

• Right to work in the UK

• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply

• Two professional child-related references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
