Are you a someone who’s brilliant at staying calm, building trust and supporting children who need a little extra understanding? Supply work could be a great fit.

Protocol Education is working with several Primary Schools across Gateshead who need reliable SEN Teaching Assistants for supply cover. These schools value patience, empathy and consistency, and they know how vital good support staff are.

The role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group SEN support

  • Helping pupils access learning in a way that works for them

  • Supporting emotional regulation and classroom routines

  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs

  • Creating a safe, encouraging space where children feel understood

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEN OR a strong interest in this area

  • Is patient, nurturing and confident supporting different needs

  • Can adapt quickly to new settings

  • Communicates clearly and kindly

  • Has the right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
