Protocol Education supports Primary Schools across Gateshead and surrounding areas, providing day-to-day and short-term cover. This role is perfect if you want flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a difference without committing to a full-time contract.
The role will involve:

Supporting pupils across different year groups

Helping teachers with classroom routines and activities

Encouraging children to stay engaged, confident and on track

Offering extra support where it’s needed, without pressure

Being friendly, adaptable and willing to muck in
We’re looking for someone who:

Enjoys working with children or young people

Is reliable, approachable and flexible

Is happy to learn on the job, no formal school experience needed

Can settle quickly into new environments
-
Has the right to work in the UK
-
Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service, or is happy to apply
If you’ve worked in care, childcare, youth work, coaching, hospitality, or parenting, your skills are very welcome here.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
