Ward Manager for Hospital Position

An excellent position has opened for a Registered Nurse Ward Manager to join a highly respectable Hospital located in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

The Hospital provides intensive support to children and adolescents with high dependency care needs who are diagnosed with eating disorders and require inpatient residential, day-care or outpatient care.

As a Ward Manager your responsibilities will include:

·         Accepting 24 hour responsibility for the hospital wards on a rotational basis within the framework of the on call structure

·         Co-ordinating the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment

·         Participating fully with the multi-disciplinary team and undertaking direct patient care

·         Managing and directing the delivery of clinical services within the ward or unit

·         Providing strong and robust leadership and management in the clinical environment

·         Monitoring the performance and conduct of staff and to take corrective action where required

·         Promoting and safeguarding the well-being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors

·         Responsibility for working within the parameters of the service budget

·         Ensuring the confidentiality, security and accuracy of data and information and compliance with Regulatory guidelines

·         Maintain standards of competence as defined by the NMC

This role requires someone who has the following skills and experience:

·         Relevant experience within a similar environment

·         Proven track record of leadership and management skills

·         Qualified Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Registered Nurse with experience within a similar environment and within a senior position.
