A brilliant new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Theatre Practitioner - RGN/ODP to work in an amazing surgery based in the Leeds, West Yorkshire area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading laser eye surgery specialists

This is one of UK and Ireland’s number one provider of laser eye surgery and private lens surgery

**To be considered for this you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin or qualified as an ODP with a HCPC registration**As a Theatre Practitioner your key duties include:

·        Supporting the surgery manager and assisting with infection control audits

·        Ensuring that all patients proceeding to surgery have had the opportunity to understand the potential risks and benefits of treatment

·        Playing a leading role in ensuring all Patient Journeys are completed with the utmost care, empathy and service that excels all Patient expectations

·        To work within the team to ensure that ‘file preparation’ prior to the treatment day is carried out in order to minimise potential complications, cancellations/ postponement by being able to recognise patient suitability

·        Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team in order to ensure outstanding issues are addressed prior to surgery

·        Patients are discharged from surgery with the appropriate prescribed medication and advice, including emergency contact numbers and follow up care has been arranged

The following skills and experience would be preferred a beneficial for the role:

·        Excellent communication and presentation skills

·        Caring manner, Patient attentiveness and professionalism paramount with all of our Patient interactions

·        Ability to absorb and convey highly technical information

·        Adaptable with a flexible approach to work

·        Excellent time management skills

·        Strong organisational skills attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks

·        Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity and discretion

·        A passion or interest for optical healthcare/refractive surgery

The successful Theatre Practitioner will receive an excellent salary up to £38,000 per annum. We currently have vacancies for both Full Time and Part Time opportunities available. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
