Main Responsibilities Include:
- Meeting with the rest of the team to discuss their requirements and ideas
- Developing designs to suit needs, budget and type of building
- Preparing initial sketches for the team to approve
- Advising on colour schemes, fabrics, fittings and furniture
- Working out costs and preparing estimates
- Creating detailed drawings from the initial sketches, usually on computer
- Finding fittings, furniture, fabrics, and wall and floor coverings
- Developing detailed designs and choosing materials
- Carrying out research, to make sure the plans are technically feasible
- Choosing the most appropriate materials for the design and budget
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by Management
- Additional projects agreed to meet your personal internship & development goals
Person Specification:
- The candidate may have some knowledge or interest in some area of interior design but full training will be provided
- The candidate may have some interest of the real estate sector
- The candidate must be creative, and a problem-solver
- The candidate must have the ability to work out costs and keep to budgets
- An eye for design, including colour, and good 3D awareness
- Ability to visualise concepts and explain them to others
- Good drawing and IT skills
- Excellent communication and practical skills.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Project-management skills
- An understanding of building and safety regulations
- Knowledge of products and materials
- Self-motivated proactive approach and ready to use initiative
- Reliable and committed
