Lead RMN or RNLD Nurse

One of the leading Healthcare Services is currently seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Nurse of Learning Disabilities to become a Lead Nurse within a reputable Hospital, located in Newark.

The modern styled Hospital is a purpose-built low secure facility that offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatments for women with complex care needs.

This is a full time role, and the successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum with fantastic additional benefits such as; a group personal pension plan, free meals on duty, childcare vouchers, voluntary benefits plus many more.

As the Lead Nurse your duties will be to:

·         Ensure that the team core values and quality of care are at the forefront of patient centred care

·         Take an active lead role in areas of Clinical Governance Structures, inspections and commissioner/funder/ network meetings

·         Take an active part in the chair and lead subgroups in accordance with service needs

·         Directly manage and support the Ward Managers with managing the ward budget, exercising effective cost control in line with budget and service requirements

·         Provide a nursing clinical leadership as part of the MDT, overseeing the management of wards and other clinical areas

·         Be involved in all aspects of recruitment of nursing staff within the unit

·         Ensure that the action plans are implemented, monitored and evaluated for all parts of the Unit, maintaining compliance with identified standard requirements

·         Supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff including students and actively monitor, support and direct others to do the same

·         Take part in the out of hours on call system

·         Assist in the development of services in line with local identified need and strategic development

You will need to have the following qualifications and experience:

·         Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Nurse of Learning Disabilities qualification

·         At least 5 years post qualification experience

·         Management and leadership experience

·         Excellent communication and organisation skills

To be considered for this role you must be a Registered RMN or RNLD Nurse with 5 years’ post qualification experience and management experience.
