SEN Primary Teacher
SEN Primary Teacher – Newham
Full-time | PAYE only | January start
Looking for a role where your SEND skills actually matter?
Primary SEN schools across Newham are looking for an SEN Teacher who understands that progress isn’t always measured in worksheets. Sometimes it’s regulation, trust, or a child staying in the room.
These schools support pupils with autism, SEMH and complex learning needs, and they’re looking for someone who can create structure without rigidity, and consistency without pressure. You’ll have the space to teach in a way that works for your pupils, not just the timetable.
What you’ll be doing
• Teaching a primary SEN class with learning adapted to individual needs
• Planning lessons that focus on engagement, routine and small wins
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour in the classroom
• Working closely with TAs, therapists and SENCOs
• Creating a safe, predictable learning environment where pupils can thrive
What we’re looking for
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
• Experience working with SEND or in specialist / inclusive settings
• Strong understanding of behaviour, regulation and differentiation
• A patient teacher who values teamwork
What’s in it for you
• Weekly PAYE pay (NO umbrella companies)
• Free SEND CPD and training
• Long-term stability with full-time hours
• Ongoing support from a specialist consultant
• Opportunities across multiple Newham SEN settings
