

Deputy Manager
An amazing job opportunity has just been opened for a motivated Deputy Manager to join a pristine Care Home that is located within Newry.
The home has three private courtyards available to residents at all times. This care home is spacious and has colour coded corridors to assist residents in finding their bearings, along with welcoming alcoves for rest stops. The home has two secure units that keep people safe whilst still making sure they keep their independence. Residents are encouraged to invite guests to the home and make use of the themed communal areas.
As a Deputy Manager your day to day duties include:
•Continually assessing the resident’s needs and wishes and develop the service to enhance their quality of life
•Deputise in the overall management of the care home as required
•Communicate professionally and warmly with visitors including family, friends and external stakeholders
•Role model high standards of nursing care, ensuring legal regulatory and best practise guidelines are followed
•Ensure the home operates within budget through effective use of resource and identify areas to improve efficiency
•You will need to be a visible leader in the home, supporting the operation of a 24 hour business
•Oversee the induction of all new employees and participate in the training development of the team
•Play an active part in the recruitment, assessment and supervision of the team
•Support the manager in disciplinary proceeding where required
The successful Deputy Manager will receive a competitive salary of £18.00 per hour and the annual salary for this position is £36,504. This exciting position is for 39 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
