An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Nurse to work in an exceptional ophthalmic care service based in the Fakenham, Norfolk area. You be working for UK’s independent provider of NHS eye care services

 

This is a pioneering independent provider of NHS ophthalmic care in the community and one of the first centres nationally to take innovative fast track cataract surgery out of a hospital setting. They provide a range of services including: cataract surgery, YAG laser treatment, glaucoma treatment, oculoplastics and general ophthalmology

 

**To be considered for this role you must be qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC Pin or qualified as an ODP with a HCPC registration**

 

As a Theatre Nurse your key duties include:

·         Reduce waiting times for patients with eye conditions

·         Deliver exceptional care without the requirement for a hospital stay

·         Have a positive impact on patients’ lives

·         Provide care closer to home for the patient in line with DoH guidelines.

·         Reduce overall waiting times in the health economy

·         Create additional capacity in secondary care

·         Aim to provide a fast and efficient patient focused pathway in collaboration with patient representatives and primary care professionals

·         Use new technologies and the latest equipment, maintain the highest levels of care at the cutting edge of ophthalmology

 

The following skills and experience would be preferred a beneficial for the role:

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills

·         Caring manner, Patient attentiveness and professionalism paramount with all of our Patient interactions

·         Ability to absorb and convey highly technical information

·         Adaptable with a flexible approach to work

·         Excellent time management skills

·         Strong organisational skills attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks

·         Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity and discretion

·         A passion or interest for optical healthcare/refractive surgery

 

The successful Theatre Nurse will receive an excellent salary from £35,000 up to £40,000 per annum. We currently have vacancies for both Full Time and Part Time roles on Day Shifts only. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
