Autism TA – Full-Time, Specialist Support Role (Peterlee / Easington)

Location: Peterlee / Easington
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Are you passionate about supporting autistic children to feel understood, confident and capable? This full-time Autism TA role focuses on providing consistent, compassionate support within a structured school environment.

You’ll help pupils navigate learning, social situations and emotional regulation, working at their pace and celebrating progress, however small.

The role involves:
• Supporting pupils with autism in the classroom
• Using clear communication and visual supports
• Helping pupils manage sensory needs
• Supporting social interaction and independence
• Being a calm, reliable presence throughout the day

We’re looking for someone who:
• Is patient, resilient and observant
• Understands autism or is keen to learn
• Can remain calm during challenging moments
• Values inclusion and child-led progress

This role suits experienced Autism TAs or those with relevant care or support backgrounds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
