We have an amazing job opportunity that as just been opened up for a motivated Sister to join an exceptional care home based in the Portadown area. As a Sister you will be working for one of Irelands leading health care providers.

The special Care team provides nursing care for those who have complex medical needs, and respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break. They also provide residential dementia care to support the residents to maintain their independence and individuality, encouraging social activity and building relationships within the home. 

As a Sister your day to day duties include:

·         Responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.

·         Participating in a range of assessments including risk and self-harm.

·         Supervising a designated number of Health Care Assistants and students.

·         Assisting in standard setting and evaluating quality outcomes.

·         Being expected to take charge of the ward/unit in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility, under the direction of senior staff.

·         Working as a Primary/Named/Key Worker advising and supporting junior colleagues.

·         Maintaining good standards of communication, both oral and written, in accordance with NMC guidance.

·         Responsibility for reporting to the Ward Manager any circumstances that may affect the delivery of care and/or efficient running of the ward.

·         Providing supervision to other staff, qualified and unqualified.

The successful Sister will receive an excellent salary of £17.00 per hour and the overtime rate is £21.25 per hour. This exciting position is for 33 hours a week with a mix of shifts. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
