

Positive Behaviour Support Coordinator
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Positive Behaviour Support Coordinator (PBS Coordinator) to work in an exceptional school settings based in the Roehampton, London area. As a PBS Coordinator you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special school is a co-educational, purpose-built day school for young people aged 9-19 with high functioning autism and associated needs.
As the PBS Coordinator your day to day duties include:
· Providing expert advice and recommendations to the school staff regarding positive behaviour support
· Working closely with education and therapy teams, young people and their families to provide holistic assessment (incorporating functional assessment)
· Working in partnership with other professionals (e.g. Teachers, social workers, SEN case officers, health professionals and CAMHS members) to develop effective PBS plans
· Implementing, monitoring and evaluating individual positive behaviour support plans
· Be a role model by leading with positive behaviour support to support staff
· Promoting safe, ethical and respectful risk management strategies for staff and comply with relevant policies and requirements, including recording and reporting
· Developing PBS training resources, supporting plan templates related to PBS in collaboration with the pastoral support team
· Communicating effectively with the young people we support, their families and the school staff
· Maintaining efficient and up to date records and administrative systems for all work, including IT
· Maintaining continued professional development and competence and remain current with regard to developments in the field of Autism and Positive Behaviour Support
· Taking responsibility for prioritising and time management of a varied work and case load
· Working flexible hours as required by the organisation
An ideal PBS Coordinator must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
· Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effective
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
· Experience of with people with autism and associated condition
· Knowledge of working within schools and educational settings, which support PBS
The successful PBS Coordinator will receive an excellent annual salary from £23,000 - £24,500 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday from 8.30am to 16.30pm. To be considered for this position you must hold a formal qualification in: or Positive Behaviour Support i.e. BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis, MA or MSc in Autism Studies, PBS Graduate Diploma, PBS BTEC Level 5 (advanced professional Diploma)
