PRU Classroom Support Assistant

Location: South Shields
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are recruiting a Classroom Support Assistant to work within a PRU environment supporting pupils with complex behavioural and emotional needs.

This role requires patience, resilience and the ability to provide calm support during challenging moments.

Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils in a PRU setting
• Assisting with learning and behaviour support
• Providing emotional reassurance and structure
• Supporting routines and transitions
• Encouraging positive engagement with education

This role is ideal for someone who:
• Has experience in care, youth work or behaviour support
• Is emotionally resilient and calm
• Enjoys working in a challenging but rewarding environment
• Wants full-time, meaningful work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
