Pastoral Support Assistant – Specialist School

Location: South Shields
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time

This Pastoral Support Assistant role focuses on pupils’ wellbeing, emotional development and engagement with education.

You’ll support pupils throughout the school day, helping them navigate challenges and feel supported within the school environment.

Responsibilities include:
• Providing emotional and pastoral support
• Supporting pupils during unstructured times
• Encouraging reflection and emotional regulation
• Supporting learning engagement
• Working closely with pastoral and SEN teams

Ideal for someone with a caring, empathetic approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
