Great Opportunity for Registered Nurse to become a Unit Manager for a care home which is located in London borough of Ealing. Care home provides care around the clock. To suit a range of needs, they are offering different levels of care - from nursing and palliative to shorter-term intermediate care as well as respite care. The home has 90 beds and is a care home accommodating 4 care categories: general nursing, general residential, EMI Nursing, EMI residential.

As a Unite manager you will have to manage the Unit and lead a team to ensure the delivery of excellent standards of care, in accordance company’s policies and procedures; promoting rehabilitation, independence and dignity, positively enhancing the lives of individuals in their care. 

The successful candidate will be working a full time and will be offered an excellent salary of £16.00 -  £17.00 per hour plus other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø  Build the positive reputation of the Business and unit; liaise professionally with visitors and other external stakeholders. Ensure team communication is professional and considered

Ø  Proactively monitor all standards of care; undertaking audits and implementing corrective action where appropriate

Ø  Promote high standards of nursing care for you and your team, actively seeking ways to improve levels of service

Ø  To assist with all people management duties, including but not exclusively; recruitment, training and career development, performance management and effective delegation of duties

Ø  Ensure all elements of resident experience are positive, from admission to discharge. For example psychological considerations, safe custody of property, pain management and dignity.

Skills:

Ø  People management experience; the ability to lead and manage a team

Ø  Numerate and literate with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing 

Ø  Understands and effectively uses IT and communication systems required for the role

Ø   Ability to work under pressure whilst motivating their team 

Ø  Experience of delivering nursing care within elderly health care sector
