

Medical Secretary
An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Medical Secretary to join an Exceptional Hospital service within the Southgate area. As a Medical Secretary you will be working for a company which is rated highly and has an excellent reputation for care.
This special hospital is one of the UK’s leading centres for the treatment of a wide range of mental health difficulties including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
As a Medical Secretary your day to day duties include:
· Answering and screening incoming telephone calls, recording and transmitting messages, scheduling appointments for new as well as follow up patients. Keep patient referrals updated and current.
· Ensure high productivity by efficiently maintaining calendars; scheduling patient appointments, consultations, professional meetings and conferences.
· Communicate with other mental health practioners; faxing/emailing notes, correspondence to referring agencies or consultants, hospitals etc. Provide historical reference by developing and utilising filing and retrieval systems; maintaining patient records.
· Maintain patient confidence and protect services by keeping information confidential.
· Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing orders if necessary. Keep office equipment operating by following operating instructions and reporting any problems
The successful Medical Secretary will receive an excellent salary of £22,000 - £24,000. This exciting position is a Full Time role for 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
