Primary Learning Support Assistant – SEND and Inclusion

Location: Sunderland
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a Primary Learning Support Assistant to support inclusive practice within a welcoming primary school environment.

This role supports pupils with additional needs to access learning, develop confidence and feel included in the classroom.

You will work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning activities and provide consistent support.

Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with SEND in lessons
• Providing small-group and 1:1 support
• Assisting with differentiated learning activities
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and engagement
• Encouraging independence and participation

This role is ideal for someone who:
• Has experience or interest in SEND support
• Is caring, reliable and proactive
• Enjoys working with younger children
• Is committed to inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
