Registered Nurse for Ward Manager Role
A great position has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to take on the role as Ward Manager within a highly respectable Hospital located in Taunton.
The Hospital provide specialist, complex mental and physical health services for men and women. The service users are those affected by conditions associated with older age such as dementia, diabetes, urological issues and epilepsy with a progressive rehabilitation unit.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum with fantastic additional benefits such as free parking, pension scheme, life assurance scheme, EAP, childcare vouchers, subsidised meals and many more.
As a Ward Manager, you will be supporting the Clinical Manager in delivering a specialist, high quality service with a proactive role within the governance systems of the hospital. You will be providing direction and support to the nursing team as well as managing budgets. You will need to show your ability to engage with the team in setting and monitoring high standards of care in accordance with CQC standards. You will be motivating and developing the team as well as the service, therefore effective leadership skill and experience will be essential.
For this role you must be a Registered Nurse preferably with experience in older adult’s mental health experience. You will need middle management experience to provide clinical and managerial leadership for the nursing and clinical services at the hospital.
You will need to be committed to provide the highest level of care with excellent interpersonal skills as you will be working within a multidisciplinary team and liaising with a wide variety of people. Knowledge of mentoring students and the supervision and appraisal processes is also desirable.

To be considered for this role you must be a Registered Nurse with experience within a senior position.
