SEN Teaching Assistant

Full-Time | Tower Hamlets | January Start

Looking for a full-time role where you can really get to know your pupils and feel proud of the support you give each day? We’re working with a welcoming SEN school in Tower Hamlets that’s looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from January.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity in a specialist setting supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social emotional needs. The school is well-organised, supportive, and values consistency and care just as much as progress.

What your role will involve

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

• Helping pupils access learning through structure, patience, and encouragement

• Using communication tools, sensory strategies, and clear routines

• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists

• Being a calm, consistent presence throughout the school day

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• A calm, caring, and resilient approach

• Someone who understands that progress looks different for every pupil

• A reliable team player who’s proactive and keen to learn

• Willingness to support with personal care where required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
