We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Tower Hamlets that’s looking for a passionate Textiles teacher to join their Design & Technology department. This is a school that values creativity, practical learning, and giving students the confidence to express themselves, needle and thread in hand.

You’ll be teaching Textiles across KS3 and KS4, delivering hands-on, engaging lessons that inspire students of all abilities. The department is collaborative, well-resourced, and led by people who genuinely support their staff.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Teaching Textiles within the DT curriculum across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning and delivering creative, practical lessons

  • Supporting students to develop technical skills and creative confidence

  • Contributing to a positive, well-organised DT department

  • Getting involved in enrichment or extracurricular projects, if you’d like

What we’re looking for:

  • UK QTS (or working towards it)

  • A Textiles or DT specialist with a love for practical subjects

  • Confident classroom and behaviour management

  • A creative, patient, and encouraging approach

  • ECTs are very welcome, as are experienced teachers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
