An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Clinical Unit Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in the Lichfield, Staffordshire area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading healthcare providers

 

This care home with penthouse suites provide care to those who are in need such as residential, dementia, nursing and respite services

 

**You must be qualified as a Nurse either RGN, RMN or RNLD with a current active NMC Pin**

 

As the Unit Manager your key responsibilities include:

·         Lead a team of nurses, senior carers and carers to provide staff support including demonstrations and instruction of care activities, particularly in relation to the induction of new staff for example supervisions, appraisals and induction booklets

·         To enhance and promote the clients quality of life through effective care planning and MDT working with other care professionals

·         Manage and participate in the rota, to ensure senior care and care support is available at all times and that the unit you are managing is covered appropriately

·         Responsible for supporting the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in the management of the medication systems used and for the ordering and distribution of prescribed medication to residents

·         Assist residents in their personal care including toileting, bathing, dressing and undressing, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals and monitoring the carers have completed this appropriately

·         Serve and monitor meals and beverages, encouraging and assisting in the feeding of residents requiring additional attention at meal times and documenting the outcomes for nutritional value

 

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

·         You must be have experience of leading a team of people and be able to evidence this

·         You must have a proven track record in delivering good care results

·         You must have a good understanding of CQC and other regulatory bodies (DoLs/MCA)

·         Managed a Nursing Unit in a similar setting

 

The successful Unit Manager will receive an excellent salary of £19.50 per hour and the annual salary is £39,039 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role for 38.5 hours a week working through Day Shifts. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
