The Role

A large and forward-thinking 11–19 secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a passionate Teacher of Science to join its successful department. The role involves teaching general Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics at KS5 depending on experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop within a supportive and well-resourced faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons

  • Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science

  • Ability to inspire curiosity and critical thinking

  • Commitment to high standards and inclusive practice

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
