Got creativity, patience, and a knack for thinking outside the box?

Some pupils don't learn best sitting quietly at a desk. They learn through movement, creativity, connection, and trust.

We're looking for a Creative Teaching Assistant to support children and young people in specialist SEMH and SEND schools across Bristol. Whether your background is in education, youth work, sports coaching, drama, music, care, or mentoring, your skills could make a real difference in the classroom.

If you're someone who can turn a challenging day into a positive one, build strong relationships, and bring energy to every interaction, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

Supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Using creative approaches such as art, music, sport, drama, and hands-on learning to engage pupils

Building positive relationships and becoming a trusted adult for young people who need consistency and encouragement

Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom

Helping pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation, communication skills, and independence

Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a safe and nurturing environment

We'd love to hear from you if you:

✔ Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults

✔ Have a background in sports coaching, performing arts, youth work, mentoring, care, or education

✔ Are calm, resilient, and adaptable

✔ Can build rapport quickly and genuinely care about helping young people succeed

✔ Believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive
