Protocol Education is looking for a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford this September. This full-time role will involve supporting pupils within a Key Stage 1 class, including children with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence and thrive both academically and socially.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Help create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Encourage pupil independence and confidence.
• Support children's social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children, ideally within a school setting.
• Has a patient, nurturing and positive approach.
• Understands the importance of inclusive education.
• Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Has experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
• Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
