We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary mainstream school in Chelmsford. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
• Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development.
• Implement strategies and interventions outlined in the child's support plan.
• Encourage independence and positive engagement in lessons.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals where required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
• Experience working on a 1:1 basis with pupils requiring additional support.
• A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of the child.
• A genuine passion for helping children succeed.
