We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Gateshead with approximately 295 pupils on roll. The school has a strong reputation within the local community and prides itself on creating a calm, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will teach a Year 2 class, supported by an experienced Teaching Assistant and a highly collaborative Key Stage 1 team. The leadership team place a genuine focus on staff wellbeing, ensuring teachers have the support, resources and professional development needed to thrive.

The Role

• Full-time, long-term position
• September 2026 start
• Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
• Term-time only
• Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
• Assess pupil progress and adapt learning to individual needs
• Build strong relationships with families and colleagues

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
