About the role:

You’ll take full responsibility for a Reception class, supported by a skilled Teaching Assistant and an experienced EYFS lead. The setting places a strong emphasis on learning through play, exploration, and routine.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Your mornings may begin with a calm and structured welcome, helping children settle and feel safe. From there, your day will include:

• Delivering engaging phonics sessions to build early reading confidence
• Leading small group activities focused on communication, maths, and development
• Supporting continuous provision through play-based learning indoors and outdoors
• Observing children’s progress and adapting activities in real time
• Encouraging social interaction, sharing, and independence
• Creating a nurturing, predictable environment where children can thrive

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• A nurturing, patient, and creative teaching style
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and families
• A genuine passion for early childhood development
