SEN Teaching Assistant – Gateshead

This specialist SEN school in Gateshead is looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils who need consistency, patience, and encouragement to thrive.

These are students who may have become disengaged from education. Some struggle with communication. Others with emotional regulation or behaviour. But with the right support, they make huge progress.

Your role will involve:

• Supporting pupils with EHCPs on a daily basis
• Helping students feel calm, understood, and ready to learn
• Working alongside teachers and SEN professionals
• Celebrating every small win, because they matter here

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has SEN experience or transferable support experience
• Builds strong, trusting relationships naturally
• Is resilient, patient, and adaptable
• Wants to make a genuine difference every day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
