Looking for a role where every day makes a difference?

Some pupils need a little extra support to shine. That's where you come in.

We're looking for a caring, confident, and proactive Academic Support SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Grays. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who loves helping young people overcome barriers to learning and build confidence both in and out of the classroom.

You'll be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them stay engaged with learning, develop key skills, and celebrate those all-important lightbulb moments.

What you'll be doing:

✔ Providing one-to-one and small group academic support

✔ Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH

✔ Adapting learning activities to suit individual needs

✔ Building positive relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn

✔ Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff

✔ Encouraging independence, confidence, and a love of learning

We'd love to hear from you if you:

✔ Have experience working with children or young people with SEND

✔ Are patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about supporting learners

✔ Can build trust and positive relationships quickly

✔ Have strong communication skills and a calm, positive approach

✔ Are looking for a rewarding full-time role where no two days are the same

Why this role?

This is a school that truly values its support staff. You'll be joining a team that understands the impact great SEN support can have on a child's future. Every small win matters here, and you'll be part of making those wins happen.
