SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton

Location: Merton
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our inclusive partner schools in Merton.

You’ll be working closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties. The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management

  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Support children with personal care or additional needs as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school or personal experience welcome)

  • A proactive and caring attitude

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Available for full-time or long-term work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
