We’re working with a well-regarded secondary school in Macclesfield looking for a confident and engaging Humanities Teacher to join their team this September. The department is collaborative, well-resourced, and passionate about helping students see the bigger picture, whether that’s through History, Geography, or Religious Studies.

If you can turn a lesson on tectonic plates, civil rights, or global development into something students actually talk about at lunch, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll be doing

• Teaching Humanities across KS3 and KS4

• Delivering thought-provoking lessons that build critical thinking and discussion skills

• Supporting students of all abilities to develop confidence in analysis and extended writing

• Working as part of a supportive and well-organised department

• Contributing to enrichment opportunities, trips, and wider school life

What we’re looking for

• UK QTS

• Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level

• Strong classroom management and clear communication

• A genuine enthusiasm for your subject that students can feel
