We're recruiting a full-time BSL Teaching Assistant in Newcastle upon Tyne to support learners within a specialist educational setting where communication, inclusion and personalised support are at the heart of every school day.

Responsibilities

• Support learners using British Sign Language
• Facilitate communication across the school day
• Provide classroom and 1:1 support
• Encourage confidence and independence
• Work closely with teaching and therapy teams

Skills & Qualities

• BSL qualification or relevant experience
• Patient and adaptable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
