An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Newcastle is looking for a motivated Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join the team this September.

The Role

As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver one-to-one and small-group numeracy interventions
  • Help students develop confidence in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving
  • Support pupils preparing for GCSE examinations
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Gain first-hand experience of classroom teaching, behaviour management and student support

You'll become part of a successful Maths department that is committed to helping every student achieve while supporting aspiring teachers to develop their skills.

We're Looking For

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
  • Graduates considering a career in secondary teaching

  • Someone who can build positive relationships and motivate young people

Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
